Brain Exchange is pleased to offer the following professional learning opportunities during the 2018–2019 school year for secondary teachers looking to bring project-based, student-directed learning experiences into their classrooms. Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a multi-dimensional, interdisciplinary approach that is best implemented in teams.

Project-Based Learning 3-Day Workshop
This three-day summer institute is designed for educators interested in advancing students deeper learning through interdisciplinary, career-pathway aligned Project Based Learning. Learn about how Brain Exchange Project Based Learning approach to designing high-quality PBLs will guide teachers in designing lessons with students in mind. Lessons will offer student voice and choice opportunities, deeper learning, complex driving question(s) that will lead to real-world, hands-on application. Schools and districts are strongly encouraged to send grade-level teams along with a Career Technical Education teacher. Teams will leave the institute with a well -developed project design that will engage students through inquiry. The max is 35 individuals per session.

Design Your Next Project! This one-day workshop is designed for those who want to participate in introductory PBL training. Participants will be introduced to the Seven Essential Ingredients of Project-Based Learning. Bring your team to reflect on your PBL experiences and design your next project with supportive facilitation from our PBL trainer team. The max is 35 individuals per session.
All sessions begin at 8:30 AM and end at 3:30 PM. Registration includes morning refreshments and lunch. Vegetarian options available.
